After graduating from West College Scotland in 2006 Martin was employed as a BAFTA makeup artist, creating red carpets looks for nominees and guests for BAFTA UK and BAFTA Scotland for 3 years. He also worked on numerous editorial and TV campaigns for Model Team Scotland. 
 
He was then was approached by Dior to join their UK Makeup team working throughout the UK at VIP events and for their top clients. 5 years ago he was promoted to National Makeup Artist and Artistry Trainer for the brand, working at the couture and ready to wear fashion shows in London and Paris, as well as developing and training out on counter colour experts in artistry skills. 
 
More recently, Martin has been working with SFX brands through Instagram. He has been busy creating looks showcasing their products, mainly body paints, prosthetics and contact lenses.  

Keeping in touch with education, Martin regularly delivers guest lecturers in colleges, teaching anything from runway skin through to body painting and creative makeup looks. 
 
Martin said, “17 years after graduating, I still love makeup in all its forms as much as I did when I was studying at West College Scotland ❤️!”
