Introduction to Infant Massage
Course Overview
What will I learn?
Introduction to Infant Massage welcomes nursery staff, NHS workers, massage therapists and caregivers. Baby massage encourages the care giver/baby bonding process giving quality time together by providing complete focus and positive interaction.
The course includes an excellent massage routine of the legs and abdomen with baby gym. Students will work practically on baby massage mannequins, whilst learning the massage routine, enjoying poetry, nursery rhymes and having fun. The goal is to gain confidence with one’s own baby or if involved in nursery or NHS paediatric work, to support the caregiver.
What qualifications do I need?
There are no entry requirements for the 1 Day Introduction to Infant Massage course and learners are recruited from the massage industry, nursery staff, NHS workers and caregivers with their own babies.
Introduction to Infant Massage is a precursor to the Infant Massage Certificated course.
If wishing to progress to the Infant Massage (Training the Trainer) Unit the student should be qualified or working towards a Facial or Body massage qualification.
