Course Aims
The aim of the course is to increase your understanding of the importance of healthy brain development in early years. You will explore brain development / neuroscience and the impact of interactions and attachment on the developing brain, which will support you to support your child’s healthy brain development.
This course is tailored for parents/carers with no prior scientific background, we will introduce you to key concepts in child development, brain science, and simple things that you can do at home to support your child's cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
Additionally, learn how to create a nurturing environment that promotes lifelong learning and well-being, all supported by the latest neuroscience research.

Introduction to basic neuroscience concepts: neurons, synapses, brain regions.
Overview of newborn brain development: reflexes, sensory experiences.
The importance of bonding and attachment in brain development.
Practical tips for fostering bonding and attachment.
