Explore the world of domestic retrofit, a vital component in the effort to reduce carbon emissions and achieve Net Zero. This is designed for professionals in the construction industry who seek expert knowledge on upgrading domestic buildings to support our journey towards Net Zero. Successful completion of this course may lead to progression such as the SVQ Level 2/3 in Building Treatments.

This vocational award introduces learners to retrofit and its strategic role in decarbonising the Built Environment. CITB suggest around 22,500 new roles will need to be created by 2028 to achieve the Scottish Government’s net zero goals. Get your skills ready with our Understanding Domestic Retrofit course. Target Audience

This award is primarily designed for individuals with a background in the construction industry, including those who have completed or are pursuing other construction qualifications, such as Construction Modern Apprenticeships. It is also open to individuals currently working or with prior experience in construction, aiming to transition into the retrofit sector.
