Content
This 1-day course will provide you with knowledge and practical experience of the following:
- The role of the first aider
- Accident and Incident reporting; first aid box
- Resuscitation procedures and managing an unconscious casualty
- Primary and secondary survey
- Basic Life Support and demonstration of AED
- Choking
- Recovery position
- Control and Management of common health emergencies including:
- Heart Attack, Angina,
- Wounds and Bleeding,
- Haemorrhagic and anaphylactic shock
- Burns/Scalds,
- Fractures / Head and Spinal Injuries
- Diabetes, Epilepsy, Meningitis
Practical bandaging session including slings
