Palliative Care and End of Life
Course Overview
Content
Palliative care is not a new concept, and modern hospices were first seen in London in the 1960 dedicating their care to cancer patients who were terminally ill. Up until recently palliative care mostly concerned itself with people who have cancer or are nearing death. This is not now the only focus. It also includes improving the quality of life of people who have a chronic condition from which recovery is not expected. The following course will provide knowledge and understanding for the following:
- When should palliative care be delivered
