Course Overview
Content
This course is designed to enable Health and Social Care staff to become more knowledgeable and skillful in looking after people who have had a stroke.
The course will cover the following areas:
Recognising stroke:
- What it is
- Common effects
- Reducing the risk
Practical and emotional support:
- Communication
- Activities of daily living
- Supporting the person with stroke and their family
Experiencing stroke workshop (face to face delivery or modified for virtual delivery)
Duration
One day bespoke delivery of the course can be provided for organisations with sufficient staff. Dates, times and content can be negotiated to suit specific teams.
Price
These courses are most suitable for groups and number dependent group rates apply. Individuals may occasionally join onto a group and an incremental price will apply to that individual.
