A new college with a long history
West College Scotland is modern, ambitious and innovative.
Created on 1 August 2013 by the merger of Clydebank College, Reid Kerr College in Paisley and James Watt College in Greenock, the College has 21,500 students and 1,200 staff, making it one of the biggest educational institutions in the country.
This large scale allows us to provide greater choice to students, better facilities and enhanced services.
Listen to what our students say:
We play a key role in supporting our local communities, providing courses to more than 3,000 senior-phase school pupils in College, in school and online.
We also provide training for a huge range of business partners, from small- and medium-sized local companies to some of the biggest companies in the world.
We provide more than 3,000 courses to senior-phase pupils in five local authority areas, delivered in College, in school and online.
And we are also an enterprising college, with partners from across the globe, including China, Vietnam, Finland and Brazil.
We offer a huge range of courses – full-time, part-time, evening and online learning -- all designed to help our students get a job, keep a job or get a better job and to help businesses with their training needs.
