Living up to its name ‘Make-up Mayhem’, the evening which was attended by industry professionals, press and friends and family, saw the audience transported to land of fantasy where spectacular visuals were brought to life with mythical creatures, monsters and fairy-tale characters.

Hairdressing, Beauty and Make-up Artistry, Head of Sector, Karen McIlvenna, said “Events like these give our students the chance to showcase their eclectic range of skills by transforming models using a mix of fashion led and special effects cosmetics.

“The students were given twenty four weeks to prepare a fantasy, period or prosthetic special effect character of their choice using the skills and techniques learned throughout their three years study.

“Each of the students worked extremely hard on the run up to the event creating and perfecting their own personal looks and display areas.

Yet again the event was a huge success; the standard of work produced by each of the students was incredible. They truly wowed the audience.

“We are exceptionally proud of what each of them have achieved; they’re a credit to themselves and the College and I’m in no doubt that they will go on to successful careers within the Make-up Industry.”
