Launched online today, the West of Scotland Skills Survey will gather the views and experiences of employers in the West region – focusing on their skills, workforce and business support needs. The findings of the sector-leading research will then be used to better inform the work of the College in supporting employers in 2018 and beyond.
Principal Audrey Cumberford said:
“As Scotland’s largest college and a leader in the region we serve, West College Scotland is committed to working with partners and employers to build a modern workforce, sustain a thriving economy and help people achieve their potential.
“The West of Scotland Skills Survey is just one way that we are engaging with employers across our region to ensure that the West is able to overcome the challenges and grasp the opportunities of a competitive global economy.
“I would urge employers across the West of Scotland to participate in our sector-leading research to help us tackle the skills gap and build a modern workforce.”
The West of Scotland Skills Survey is open to employers of all sizes in Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Dunbartonshire – and closes on Friday 9 March.
Employers who participate in the survey will also be given the opportunity to enter a prize draw for free use of services at the College – with a 3 course meal for 10 people, use of our conferencing facilities and £1,000 worth of workforce training and development on offer.
