Lecturers are due to go on strike on Wednesday 6 March, as part of a national pay dispute.

This is the third in a series of four strike days planned by the EIS union.

As before, the College will open next Wednesday but classes will not run unless your lecturers have specifically told you to attend. You do not have to attend College on this day but libraries, refectories and nurseries will be open.

You do not need to self-certificate if your class is cancelled because of strike action. Arrangements are in place to ensure there is no impact on student payments. You will receive your support payments, as usual, whether or not you attend on 6 March.

The College will keep you up to date of any changes to these arrangements via the Student Intranet, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and the West College Scotland Students' Association's Facebook page.

Please Note: The EIS has given notice of one more strike for Thursday 21 March 2019. The College will provide further updates nearer the time
