Due to the current COVID situation and in order to ensure the safety of our students and staff, our College campuses will not undertake any on campus curriculum delivery, in line with schools, during January. All classes will be online or through support to enable students to study at home. We intend that planned January practical classes, where learning cannot take place online, will be rescheduled to a later time to enable students to still complete their courses. Due to the uncertainty around COVID, we are unable to give you definite plans as to when this may be, but our primary focus will be to ensure students get every possible opportunity to complete their qualifications.
We understand that this is a very difficult time and you may be anxious about your own course or you may have personal circumstances which may give you difficulties in continuing your learning online. Your curriculum staff will be giving you more details relating to your particular course and if you have any personal difficulties please ensure you speak to your lecturers or contact Student Support Services. Your student funding will not be affected if you continue to attend online classes or you have discussed alternatives with your lecturers.
We will keep this situation under review, based on advice and guidance from the Scottish Government and update our website, student intranet and social media with any further communications. We’ve collated some FAQs on the student intranet which you can view here.
