The Scottish charity’s aim is for every young person in Scotland to have access to innovative and digitally creative activities, regardless of their gender, background, or where they live.

With the expertise of Computing Lecturer, Dr Amanda Ford, the College will deliver sessions designed to inspire, teach and engage teachers from across the Colleges local authorises, helping them to learn and discover more about digital technologies.

With ongoing support, schools will be equipped to setup their own coding clubs and will receive direct input from Dr Amanda Ford. This will culminate with an online event ‘Game Jam’ being held in June 2022 where participating school and students can share their achievements.

Dr Amanda Ford said, “I'm thrilled to be able to deliver this project with the support from Digital Xtra. The past year has been tough for all educators and we need to find a way back to getting extra-curricular activities back in schools where possible.

I hope that by utilising my experience - the up and downsides of delivering clubs in schools, this will help teachers gain the confidence they need to be able to deliver their own clubs with my support via online CPD and virtual support.
