Ten lucky students spent the day with Jav Aziz, Murrayfield’s Executive Group Chef and his brigade of around hundred Chefs who were catering the event. The students assisted with preparing and presenting a three-course meal for 4,500 hungry guests.

Curriculum and Quality Leader for Hospitality at the Colleges Paisley camps, Christopher Watson said

, “It was a fantastic day catering at Murrayfield stadium for up to 4500 hospitality guests. It was a great eye opener for the students as they had never experienced anything like this before. This real-life work experience, cooking high end lunches for corporate guests will help aid their skillset for the future and better prepare them for industry. They can’t wait to go back next week.”

Learning from industry experts the students got to experience first-hand what it’s like to work under pressure, follow instructions and delivery hot, tasty food on time to paying customers.

Speaking to the students about their experience, Ryan Hamilton said,

The event was fantastic and went very well. Throughout the day I got to assist with plating starters, finishing mains and got the desserts ready to go. It felt great to put what I have learned into a professional environment. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I would love to go back.”

Nicola McGhee, added,

“It was a great day and I enjoyed getting to assist lead Chefs in preparing the meals. I start at Ibrox next week and feel this has given me a good insight into what I can expect.”
