As part of their Photojournalism unit, this fast-paced event was a great opportunity for the students to gain valuable experience at industry standard.

Speaking to the students, twenty-one-year-old, Olivia Carlton said,

“I had a fantastic time. I feel like I really learned a lot from the experience and the other photographers there. I’m thankful for being given the opportunity to go along and I’m looking forward to using what I learned in the future.”

Student Reiss McGuire commented,

“It was an amazing opportunity and was great to experience the challenges of indoor sport photography and be part of new sporting event.”

Photography Lecturer, Angie Isac, said

,“Learning experiences like these are fantastic for our students, they challenge them to explore things that are out with their comfort zone and give them first-hand industry experience which is invaluable in aiding their development.”
