Time to Talk is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation which happens every year and is a day which encourages friends, family, communities and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives.

With the health and wellbeing of both staff and students a top priority at the College, the Wellbeing Advisors used this day to open conversations about mental health with an array of online and in person sessions.

Staff Wellbeing Advisor, Vicky O’Donnell said, “The day was all about creating an open, safe and supportive space to talk and learn more about mental health. We had over a 125 people take part in the activities throughout the day which included, positive affirmations, coping strategies and quizzes on mental health.

We hope that the day helps to remove the stigma surrounding mental health and encourages our staff and students to open up, discuss and utilise the array of recourses that we have here at the College.”

The College received donations of biscuits, tea, coffee and quiz prizes from the Co-op in Balloch and Greenock and Lidl on Renfrew Road Paisley, all of which were greatly appreciated.

Keep your eyes peeled for more events happening throughout the year.
