West College Scotland is delighted to announce that it has received funding from the Renfrewshire Local Employability Partnership, to deliver training and qualifications via the Employability Grant Programme.
The aim of this grant programme is to support unemployed people in Renfrewshire to move towards and into work.
The College alongside local Renfrewshire partners has developed a series of innovative creative training courses within 'The Re-Engage Programme', to support a wide range of local people develop their skills, and move towards sustainable employment in growing areas of the economy with expanding job opportunities.
Allan Dick, Economic Development Manager said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for local Renfrewshire residents to study a free, short part-time college course and gain work ready skills. After successful completion of the course candidates will be ready to enter employment or to continue further learning at the College! We’re looking forward to delivering this project alongside our Renfrewshire Employability Partners.’
The following courses are open for applications this February and March:
- Hospitality: Fast Track to Employment for Chefs (Starting March – 14 weeks)
- Hospitality: Fast Track to Employment for Barista & Front of House (Starting March – 8 weeks)
- Learner Development: College Routes 2 Employability (Starting February – 8 weeks)
