Gathering at the Colleges Paisley campus on Tuesday the 24 October the successful recipients were presented their certificates of achievement by Principal, Liz Connolly.
Recognising the commitment and hard work required to undertake professional development at this level, alongside full-time work and busy personal lives, Liz thanked each of them for their investment not only in the College but also in themselves.
Liz, commented,
It’s wonderful to see our staff invest in themselves. We need leaders at all levels of the organisations and I’m confident that the skills they have gained will allow them to achieve their ambitions of developing their careers both here at the College and beyond.
Curriculum and Quality Leader, Susan Carton who delivered the course said, “The CMI programme encourages delegates to engage more deeply with corporate strategy and priorities. It offers scope to develop an understanding of the business operating environment and this helps the delegates to grow more informed and aware. This depth of awareness leads to professional confidence and perceptions of resilience – and it enables delegates to focus on the future business needs.
I am proud to be part of West College Scotland and our leadership delegates’ successes.
Garry Ross, Building Services, Curriculum and Enhancement Leader at Paisley, who spoke on behalf the group said,
I speak for us all when I say thank you to the College for helping us to grow, not only in professional manner but personally and a huge thank you to Susan for being such a fantastic teacher and support to us all.
