The prestigious annual awards showcase the success of NHS modern apprentices across Greater Glasgow and Clyde and our Science team were over the moon to see the current students receiving top accolades. Terri Baker, 34 from Dumbarton and Mohannad Dawod, 37 from Renfrew were chosen as Apprentice of the Year and 1st year Apprentice of the Year respectively.
Both students are currently employed as Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians undertaking a two-year apprenticeship programme with the NHS working towards their Diploma in Pharmacy Services with West College Scotland. The college component of the qualification is completed entirely online and is delivered by our Greenock Science department.
Terri Baker, Apprentice of the Year said,
“It came as a complete shock to me but I am so grateful for the recognition."
