The unique golfing event which takes place every 2 years sees the top 12 players in Europe come up against the top 12 players from America to compete for the coveted title.

This year saw the 44th Ryder Cup being held in Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Guidonia Montecelio, northeast of Rome where over 250,000 people gathered for the historic event, which Kenny was delighted to be a part of.

He played an integral role in the European team providing sport science support to Scottish professional golfer, Robert Macintyre on his Ryder Cup debut.

Having worked with Robert for the past 6 years, Kenny fulfilled an essential position in the ultimately successful European team, preparing players for performance using appropriate warmup and post round recovery strategies.

Kenny commented, “The week was busy with lots of demands on the players therefore keeping them in top physical condition was essential.”

Speaking of the experience he said,

“To play some small role in helping the European Team win the Ryder Cup was a career highlight for myself and something I will never forget.”
