West College Scotland is proud to collaborate with The Prince’s Trust Scotland to offer a pioneering programme aimed at providing young students with immersive experiences in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, and electrical work. Through these initiatives, students will have the opportunity to explore potential career paths, gain valuable skills, and embark on a journey towards a fulfilling future.

The partnership will offer three unique programmes aimed at engaging and empowering young people. The School-to-College Transition programme provides school students from Park Mains High school with hands-on experience in a practical electrical environment, preparing them for future career opportunities. The 'Get Into' Placement programme offers real-world experience in the electrical industry, with the potential to secure apprenticeships. Lastly, our Engineering and Manufacturing Career Pathway Partnership introduces participants to the dynamic fields of engineering and manufacturing, inspiring them to pursue careers through mentorship and practical experiences in partnership with our colleagues at NMIS.

West is also proud to support The Prince’s Trust Schools Transition Programme, ) which focuses on personal and social development, providing practical advice and skills to young people who are leaving education with no clear path forward. Participants will receive valuable guidance on career pathways and have the opportunity to complete industry-specific training, personal development qualifications, or Prince’s Trust certifications.
