What will I learn?
This qualification provides hands-on experience across key areas of computing, including Cyber Security Software Development Game Design and Networking as well as emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics. Designed for students eager to enter a dynamic and evolving industry, this course offers a comprehensive foundation that prepares you for advanced study
Upon successful completion, you'll be equipped to apply for an HNC (Higher National Certificate) in areas such as Cyber Security, Software Development, or Game Development.

Throughout this course, you will:
- Develop Core Computing Skills: Gain essential knowledge in programming, data management, and IT infrastructure, setting a strong foundation in computing.
- Explore Cyber Security: Learn to identify and counter digital threats, covering topics such as ethical hacking, network security, and encryption methods.
- Dive into Software Development: Master the fundamentals of software engineering, coding languages, and software life cycles, preparing you to create applications for various platforms.

What qualifications do I need?
You'll need three National 5 or three Level 5 qualifications at grade 3 or above including English and Numeracy.
If you don't have any formal qualifications but can demonstrate relevant computer knowledge and skills, you can also apply. For a place on the course you'll need to attend an interview.
What can I do after?
Successful completion of this course will be able to apply to HNC programs which open up career pathways in Cyber Security, Software Development, Network Engineering and AI.
