Graduates have successfully entered roles in leading salons and renowned industry names as well as starting their own businesses. In collaboration with Bridge2Business, you'll acquire the skills to not only establish yourself as a qualified stylist but also excel in the industry with business knowledge and social media expertise.
What will I learn?
During this course you will work practically in our modern well equipped salons using professional products, tools and equipment.
The course is practically based with relevant theory delivered on campus with the addition of mandatory salon placement to enhance your learning experience.
You'll learn about:
- Styling
- Cutting
- Colouring
- Selling Skills
- Long Hair Techniques
- Shampooing
- Conditioning
- Blow-Drying
- Setting and Winding Hair
- Theoretical Units in line with Practical Subjects
- Introduction to Postiche
What qualifications do I need?
A successful informal interview will be required before a place is offered on the course. Will consider relevant experience.
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course you'll have the skills needed to apply for a salon assistant
Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:
- NC Hairdressing (Level 6)
Progression on to our Modern Apprenticeship Programme may be considered.
Many of our past students have progressed to level 6 and 7 and then furthered their career onto salon manager and owner positions.
