What will I learn?
The Transition to hairdressing allows you to start at the beginning with skills such as shampooing and conditioning, Blow drying and styling the hair. The course will also allow you to develop basic skills within Beauty which will open pathways for progression within Hair, Beauty & Make up industry.
On Successful completion you may move directly to Intermediate Hairdressing Jan start to enhance basic knowledge and skills gained in hairdressing or progress to Beauty or Make up Artistry.
You'll learn about:
- Shampooing and conditioning
- Blow drying
- Hair Styling
- Beauty Skills
- Intro to Facials and Manicure
What qualifications do I need?
There is formal entry requirement however a successful informal interview will be required before a place is offered on the course. Your passion, creativity, vision and willingness to learn about this industry will help you to gain a place on this course.
Minimum age: 16* (*must turn 16 within 4 weeks of the course start date)
What can I do after?
On Successful completion you may move directly to Intermediate Hairdressing Jan start to enhance basic knowledge and skills gained in hairdressing or progress to Beauty or Make up Artistry.
Or you could develop your skills further by studying another course, such as:
NC Hairdressing (Level 5)
SVQ L2 MA Modern Apprenticeship Programme may be considered.
