Overview
What will I learn?
This unique course is part of our NC Creative Industries group award where you will specialise in Social Media. You will study and understand the use of social media around the world, before beginning to develop practical and creative skills to produce quality content for social media sites. This will include learning how to professionally film and edit video content for social media purposes, as well as create other creative content such as photography, animation and graphic design all for use on various social media sites.

This course is part of a suite of Creative Industry qualifications, where along with learning focussed Social Media skills listed above, you will also develop a range of entrepreneurial skills, helping you to become more employable across all sectors of the Creative Industries. What qualifications do I need?
No formal qualifications are required for you to gain entry to this course. However, any qualifications you have will be discussed at your interview and any you hold at SCQF level 5 or above will greatly enhance your chances of being accepted on to the course. Regardless of your current qualifications, the interview will be most important, where you must show you have a passion for social media and creating content for social media.
What can I do after?
After completing this course, you will have the skills you need to apply for social media manager jobs. You may also wish to continue your studies at a higher level and apply for an HNC/D course such as:

This course can be taken either full time or part time – there are many flexible options available to you as to when and how long you can take to complete this course. This can all be discussed with you at interview.
