What will I learn?
This course is for anyone looking to develop their understanding of mental health and the role of a mental health care worker.
This course will provide an understanding of mental health and mental health issues, principles of the mental health care worker, approaches to care and management and the duty of care in adult health and social care, and changes and support in relation to mental health.
Topics covered in this course include:
Roles and responsibilities for working in mental health Concept of mental health Common types of mental health problems and illnesses Care planning process How to recognise and report unsafe practices How mental health change occurs Treatment options available to manage mental health problems
This is a marked course which requires short essay style answers to allow your assigned marker to be able to identify that you have understood the skills and knowledge to meet the required standards.
This is a fully online course and access to the materials and Assessments will be emailed to you.
What qualifications do I need?
As this course is delivered online it would be beneficial if the candidate had basic competence in IT and the internet.
This course does not require a personal statement.
