What will I learn?
You will study a range of pharmacy specific materials along with science units required to support these topics. Subjects include:
- Pharmacology for Beginners
- Introduction to Preparation & Use of Medicines
- Introduction to Aseptics
- Pharmacy Skills
- Introduction to Cells
- Chemistry
- Numeracy
- Health & Technology
What qualifications do I need?
There are no formal entry requirements, but you must show us you are committed and enthusiastic, with a goal to work in the phamacy sector.
For a place on the course you will need to attend an interview and provide evidence of any qualifications you may have.
Applicants whose first language is not English must have ESOL at Level 5 Grade C or above (or equivalent).
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course you will have the option to continue in pharmacy by progressing to the Pre- Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Services (Level 5) or you can switch to study science on the NC Applied Science (Level 5)
