Speaking to Zain about his College experience he said, “I studied business in school and enjoyed the variety that it offered which is what brought me to the College to study HNC Business.
‘The course covered a range of subject areas including Finance, Law, IT and Marketing as well as the essential skills that are vital for employment. I also got the opportunity to gain some related work experience, which gave me a better understanding of how businesses work on a day-to-day basis which was beneficial.
‘The course was interesting, and I liked the fact that you got to experience different classes and subjects as not all courses offer this. It was good to get experience in each area and helped me decide what career path I wanted to pursue.
‘I didn’t find the course challenging. If you attend all classes, take notes, and ask questions then you’ll succeed.”
Since leaving the College, Zain has gone on to graduate with a 2:1 Honours degree in Business Management from the University of the West of Scotland and is now employed as as Operations Support within the Motor Industry.

‘To sum up my time at college, it was an educational experience with valuable skills learned and applied in a business setting.
‘My advice to upcoming students is to pick something that you enjoy and get some useful experience, as this will help you to expand your skill set and knowledge. Education is important, put the effort in. You’re in charge of your leaning and future so make the most of it - stand out and grab any opportunities that come your way.”
