We can advise on SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland), SDS ILA and various other funding bodies. We can also offer advice on part time study, self-financing and employer financing. We’re here Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm. Ask for us at reception. You can also email info@wcs.ac.uk or call 0300 600 60 60.

www.westcollegescotland.ac.uk/courses/help-to-apply/You need to tell: the Curriculum Quality Leader (CQL) for your course; the Student Funding Department and SAAS; anyone else where benefit or discount is received (e.g. council tax office) Your effective date of withdrawal will be the date in which you last attended a timetabled lecture.

If you have any problems obtaining any of the documents requested please contact your Student Funding Office as soon as possible. Students will be emailed on a two week basis requesting documents. You will have a total of 28 days before the application is cancelled.

If your application is submitted after the start date of the course you will only be paid from date of last document submitted. Funding applications will not be backdated after 6 weeks from the start date of any course.

You will receive support from curriculum staff (e.g. lecturers) and also from support teams (e.g. Student Advisory Services, Student Funding, etc) Most students will have a guidance tutor or mentor assigned, who will regularly discuss your own progress and any matters of concern you may have, personal or course related. Student Advisors are on hand to provide guidance and support when needed

HE college administered funding only includes childcare and accommodation assistance. Funding... will result in non-payment of funds for the period reviewed. Funds are assessed following Scottish Funding Council policy criteria. Anyone who satisfies the residential requirements can apply for funding
