At West College Scotland, we aim to make your time at college as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. Wellbeing Matters promotes the positive physical and mental health, wellbeing and safety of our students. As an enrolled student, you have access to a range of support services including one-to-one counselling, wellbeing support, mindfulness classes, sport and physical activities, safeguarding services and more.


TIME 4 U COUNSELLING SERVICE

Time 4 U is our free, confidential, professional counselling service, offering one-to-one counselling with a team of qualified and experienced counsellors. All our counsellors are registered with BACP / BABCP.

STUDENT WELLBEING SERVICE

Our Student Wellbeing Service offers short-term practical and emotional support and guidance to students on any issues affecting their studies and/or mental health and wellbeing. Our Wellbeing Advisors offer one-to-one appointments, a drop-in service, as well as workshops and events. Each campus has a dedicated wellbeing area.

ACTIVE CAMPUS

Our Active Campus Co-ordinator promotes positive physical and mental health and wellbeing by providing a variety of sport and physical activities on campus. Activities include yoga, football, netball, table tennis and a walking group.

CALM CONNECTIONS & CALM CURRICULUM

We offer mindful meditation sessions to our students. During these sessions, our facilitator will guide you in a variety of techniques including positive affirmations, visualisation, tapping, acupressure self-massage, body scan and muscle work.

We also offer group meditation programmes that aim to help students cope with stress. It is based on mindfulness and relaxation techniques.

THE GREEN ROOM

The Green Room was set up to help support our college community during challenging times and the cost-of-living crisis. Located on each of our campuses, the rooms include dried and tinned foods, clothing (new and pre-loved), toiletries, stationery, toys and period products
