Graduates have successfully secured positions with industry leaders such as The Spa at Blythswood Square, Mar Hall, and The Carrick at Cameron House. West is proud to work in collaboration with leading brands like Caci, Spa Finders, Dermalogica, Mylash, CND, Louella Belle, and Ellisons. The College also competes annually in national competitions, earning accolades such as Gold and Silver at World Skills UK for their outstanding contributions to the industry.
What will I learn?
The HND Units you will study may include:
- Advanced Facial and Body Treatments
- Lifestyle Advice for Clients
- Graded Unit 2
- Promotional and Selling Skills
- Reflexology
- Traditional Head Massage
- Aromatherapy (P)
- Contemporary Spa Massage
- Nail Enhancements (Liquid and Powder or Light Curing Gel)
- Signature Massage
- Makeup Skills (P)
You can also choose to study:
- Eyelash Enhancements (classic lash extensions)
- Contemporary Aesthetic Treatments (includes any treatment in trend i.e. Lash lift, Brow lamination, Russian lashes, glycolic peel)
- Eyebrow Artistry (latest techniques to colour, sculpt and correct the brows using precision waxing technique)
- Work experience opportunities within prestigious salons and spa’s are included as part of this course.
As learning requires students to practice on each other, You will need to be prepared to receive all the treatments offered within the course.
What qualifications do I need?
You'll need to have successfully completed HNC Beauty Therapy.
What can I do after?
After successfully completing this course you will have the beauty and management skills to work as a Beauty therapist in a salon, Spa, Aesthetic clinics or as a self-employed therapist or you may consider opening your own business.
To create work placement and employment opportunities West College Scotland work in partnership with prestigious Aesthetic clinics, Salons and Spa’s and currently have alumni working at The Spa at Blythswood Square, Mar Hall and The Carrick at Cameron House
