What qualifications do I need?
Ideally you should have completed Development or another entry level course. For a place on this course you'll need to attend an interview and show us that you're enthusiastic about working in a team. You'll also need to have a positive attitude. Part of the course involves going into the local community for projects and work placements, so you must be willing and able to do this.
You should be able to understand and follow verbal instructions. If you require your own personal care support you must let us know when you apply for the course and we will discuss this at your interview. Your needs will be confirmed by the school or the agency that referred you to the college.
This support must be agreed and in place before the start of your course.
At your interview you should also show that you are enthusiastic about developing new skills and participating in new experiences.
